New ESRD Patient Orientation Packet
What Is the New ESRD Patient Orientation Packet (NEPOP)?
The NEPOP is a collection of important materials provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for newly diagnosed ESRD patients, such as information on Medicare coverage, vascular access, treatment modalities, and patient rights and responsibilities.
Where Is the NEPOP Located?
NEPOP materials are now available exclusively online from the ESRD NCC website at https://esrdncc.org/en/welcome/ and on the Patient Mobile Tool at https://thekidneyhub.org/new-esrd-patient-education/. NEPOP resources are available in English and Spanish.
In addition to the NEPOP resources, we have added a webpage focused on Health Equity https://esrdncc.org/en/professionals/healthequity/. Be sure to check out our Health Equity Advisory Board and resources section of the webpage. Interested in learning more about Health Equity? Attend one of our quarterly Health Equity Expert Team calls. To be added to the call notification, reply to this email and let us know you want to be added. Expert Teams are all about sharing and discussing successes, barriers, and lessons learned focused on improving health equity throughout the kidney community.
